More than 400 teachers turned up at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile on 11th December 2004 to listen to Professor David Nunan explaining the background, implementation and reasoning behind school-based assessment.

About the speaker
David Nunan is currently the Chair Professor of Applied Linguistics and Director of the English Centre at the University of Hong Kong. He has published over 100 books and articles in the areas of curriculum and materials development, classroom-based research, language education, language acquisition, discourse analysis and teacher education.
