Listening tasks
The listening tasks require you to listen to a recording and complete or update a text in the Question-Answer Book as you listen. For example, you may need to listen to a conversation, a voice-mail message or a meeting, and fill in a form, complete a table, or revise information in a schedule or poster.

| Data File-related tasks |
The Data File-related tasks require you to find and organise information from the texts in the Data File. The Data File is about 4¡V7 pages long and comprises a series of texts of different types related to the situation of the paper. For example, in a paper on planning a school technology fair, the Data File may include e-mail messages, memos, schedules and posters related to the fair. You will need to use information from the Data File and from a recording to produce some pieces of writing. In addition, at least one task will require you to produce a piece of extended writing of about 100¡V200 words (e.g. a letter, report or article).
