Paper 1 is worth 40% of the total marks of the HKCE English Language Examination, making it the most important paper ¡X and probably the most challenging one.
Paper 1 is divided into two parts: Paper 1A (Reading) and Paper 1B (Writing). You have 1 hour to complete Paper 1A and 1½ hours to complete Paper 1B. Each paper carries 20% of your final grade, and each paper has the same theme.
