A seminar on learning English through the Non-Language Arts subjects in
the 3+3+4 curriculum was held at Langham Hotel on 10th February 2007. The
seminar featured a presentation by Professor Nunan followed by a question
and answer session. Learning English through Non-Language Arts subjects Building on current teaching theories, Professor David Nunan explained the key principles underpinning the New Senior Secondary (NSS) English Language Curriculum. He also demonstrated how these principles could be put into practice in the classroom by designing a sample lesson plan for teachers based on the Sports Communication Elective. He has published over 100 books and articles in the areas of curriculum and materials development, classroom-based research, language education, language acquisition, discourse analysis and teacher education.
